Possible Impending Schedual Change

My high school intends to switch from a 4 block schedule to a 7 block schedule

Some teachers are worried about trying to cram all the material they cover in AP courses into less time, because of the possible schedule change next year.

The administration isn't asking those teachers for their opinions.

You will also notice that nobody is asking about the students opinions either.

Why? because they know what we are all thinking and they don't care. That or their hands are tied.

Even though it won't effect me I can't help but think about it and feel sorry for the people who will get stuck with this crap. and I hate to think about how 20 or 30 years from now when they raise the standards again how kids are going to start having nervous breakdowns, that is of course if this change doesn't do it first.

Trends of Insanity

educational standards have been increasing exponentially and moral standards have been exponentially decreasing.

I fear that within a few generations teenagers will have even less scruples about premarital sex, and do to an ever increasing amount of information we are expected to learn being crammed into a constant amount of time, many will doubtless begin to question the point of attending school when the vast majority of what they are learning will never be used in their line of work. this has already begun to occur but many will decide that the classes are therefore pointless and stop working or in other cases students may begin to have nervous breakdowns from the immense stress of trying to keep up with their classes

History Channel Alien Visitors Thing

Um wow. Normally this kind of stuff has no proof or anything but the History channel has really outdone themselves they actually have managed to compile some damn convincing/freaky/spooky evidence of aliens visiting the earth in the early days of human culture.

Now I know I have an overly active imagination, but I am a scientist at hart and I take everything with a grain of salt and take care not to get carried away with concepts like this particularly because I am a skeptic of anything this outrageous.

But here is the thing I looked at everything they have said, so far the most convincing thing was some African culture with a legend of their god coming to them from a specific star, which is invisible to the naked eye and basic telescopes oh and did I mention this legend goes back way farther then the discovery of that star by science, which I'm sorry is just plain freaky.

Here is the other convincing part. All these myths they mention go something like this, people who are lacking culture or away of life are visited by people from the sky who then help them, giving them culture, basic technology, stuff like that, (or it's a creation myth). Plus all the little details that make the stuff they are talking about seem actually plausible.

Not saying they are right, not saying they are wrong, but they have compiled some very interesting facts.

Oh and P.S. history Channel get your minds out of the gutter! the chance of a being from another planet, let alone another solar system, being able to successfully reproduce with a human seem uh I don't know like maybe one in say 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000!!!! I mean come on! their reproductive system most likely wouldn't even resemble or function like ours do.

Oh and P.P.S. you might want to decide weather you want to depict the aliens as people in space suits or as human looking beings that freely interacted with us earthlings. You went back and forth quite a few times. Again almost no reason to suspect they would strongly resemble us, although there is a theory about how since humanoid worked here it is therefore a successful design and more likely to reach a similar dominance in other planets evolutionary development.

Stupid Physics Teacher

well huh. i haven't posted since Thursday. normally I'm much better about posting once a day but well you know. so lets see Friday was interesting.

my physics teacher was absent two days in a row so it was an improvement except for the work. he assigned a # of problems from our book for us to do in class on Friday except there were several small problems we haven't used our books in about a month and he did not tell the sub which chapter we should be doing.

Moron,

we spent the first 15 min of the class trying to figure out which chapter to do and reaffirming the fact that he would fail us all if we chose the wrong chapter. why did it take so long? because there are about half a dozen chapters in that book relating to electricity (the subject we have been "learning" about)

we finally settled on chapter 23 but there was one problem, we did not know how to do any of the problems in chapter 23 or any of the other problems in any of the other chapters relating to electricity for that matter. so i spent half the class taking educated guesses for the problems that required words to answer and writing in 42 (the ultimate answer to life the universe and everything) for the problems that required # answers while leaving the unit of measurement blank.

if we don't all fail that assignment i would be absolutely amazed.

i then went to my brothers lacrosse game they lost but it was a good game and they had a rally towards the end my brother is a defense man and i love watching him, literally, knock the other team off their feet =J what can i say I'm proud of my little brother.

then we rushed back to the high school in time to watch the students who were performing the star wars cabaret, including Laura and my friend Tang walk off the stage. so yeah we missed the hole thing but we did try to get their.

oh and unlike a lot of teenagers i decided to skip Prom this year. Why? because it is awkward i don't like grinding or even watching people grind for that matter. so why spend money to stand around in a freaking tux just to feel uncomfortable when i could be at home relaxing in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. i guess I'll have to go to the senior prom otherwise i will most likely look back on it some day and regret it but for now I'm content too just stand outside the fire.

if anyone can actually figure out that reference i will be absolutely amazed.
